Many of our local villages have been searching for allotment sites, which seems incredible since they are surrounded by green spaces and fields. Allotments are very important, they provide recreation for the young and old and a great community spirit as well as cheap and healthy food.

At a time when many families and pensioners are struggling it is vital that all councillors work together and take action to make sure that all villagers have an opportunity to grow there own.

Linton Parish Council's attempts to find allotment land have been blighted by difficulties and delays caused by South Cambridgeshire District Council officers and we hope to see more positive news soon.
